Walgreens, one of the largest retail pharmacy chains in the United States, operates thousands of stores and processes millions of prescriptions, customer orders, and retail transactions every day. To support its digital transformation efforts, Walgreens partnered with BAAS to modernize key enterprise systems, enhance operational workflows, and build scalable platforms that improve both customer and employee experience. Project Overview

Walgreens required modernization of multiple digital systems that support pharmacy operations, store management workflows, retail transactions and order processing, customer information and loyalty systems, prescription handling and compliance workflows, and internal support applications. BAAS delivered end-to-end engineering solutions including backend development, UI/UX enhancements, microservices architecture, cloud deployments, data processing pipelines, and automated testing.

1. Modernization of Pharmacy & Retail Applications - Refactored legacy applications into more scalable, modular components.
